About Emergency Horse Magazine:

The relaunch of the magazine happened this past September. Emergency Horse #8 featured an interview of Robert Hunter, an article about China’s complicity in the fetanyl scourge, and another about an artist’s retreat being created on Ken Kesey’s farm. There was an examination of the importance of diversity in society, and a story about Leprechauns in space.

Originally, the publication existed in the early 1990s with distribution throughout the Northwest and northern California. Back in the day, the contents featured the irreverent thoughts of the cartoonist Callahan and Allan Ginsberg, the writing of Charles Bukowski and Lew Welch, and the advice of the ‘Old Insufferable Car Idiot.’
